Most Memorable Race:
2019 Chicago Marathon. My wife gave birth to our first kid 2 weeks before the race, so my taper was limited and sleep was in (very) short supply. On top of that, I had 3 Ubers and 1 Lyft flake on me and cancel, but the CTA came to the rescue and I made it to the start on time. Once I started running, everything just clicked. Dan gave me a very simple race plan (bide your time for 13 miles, start to move up for 5 miles, turn the screws for the last 8) and everything just fell into place. I finished under 3:00 for the first time and with a 6+ minute PR. When I got home my 2-week-old congratulated me by pooping into my hand.
Running Role Model:
Ben True. He won my very first cross country skiing race, while I lost. Ever since then I've aspired to be like Ben. Now he holds American Records and, well, here I am.
Fun Facts:
I held an OSHA Forklift Operator License for 4 years, so if there's ever a forklift emergency at Home Depot, I'm your guy
I am a diehard Philadelphia sports fan
Allen Iverson dunked 42 times in his career
