Most Memorable Race:
Negative splitting a Half Marathon in the heat/humidity, and passing so many runners over the last few miles! .. and cherry on the cake, being first place female :)
Fun Facts:
I was a recipe tester for Shalane Flanagan's cookbook 'Run Fast. Cook Fast. Eat Slow'! My name is listed in the 'acknowledgments' at the end of the book.. right next to Olympian gold medalist Gwen Jorgensen's. :-)
I'm originally from Belgium but left my country 20+ years ago (lived in the UK for 5+ years, Michigan for 10 years, and now Illinois since the end of 2018). Became American (dual citizenship US/BE) in 2018.
Lucky enough to have been the main Belgian Flag Bearer at the Parade of Nations of the 2018 NYC Marathon!
