“I’ve worked with Dan for over 5 years, and he’s the only one I will trust with my training. He is honest and knowledgeable; genuinely caring about all aspects of life for each athlete that he coaches. He understands that their daily routine with family, work, food, old and new habits, what brings them joy, mental health components etc. all play a crucial role in the big picture of their performance. He has an innate way of knowing what each individual needs to hear and how they need to hear it. I am able to open up to him about past eating disorders, current depression, and the demons that arise from both. He does not shy away from difficult conversations and challenges me to be a better human. I recently took a break from training to get hip surgery and have a baby, and Dan was my first call once I had recovered from both. I know if I want to have a future with running that he is the one who will get me there.”
