DWRunning isn’t just a racing team – it’s a family. I joined in 2017, less than a year out of college and just months after relocating to Chicago. For the first time in nearly a decade, I had neither a team to train with, nor a group of close friends to fall in with. DWRunning gave me both.
Through DWR, I’ve been lucky enough to train alongside some of the most talented and dedicated runners anywhere in the Midwest, many of whom I now consider close friends. The constant support I’ve seen and felt between DWR teammates – regardless of what our PRs might say about us – rivals that of any team I’ve ever been a part of. That’s rare.
Dan himself is as smart, capable, and devoted a coach as I have trained under. His training philosophy is savvy and informed by a deep knowledge of the sport; his coaching is both personalized and interactive; and his belief in and enthusiasm for his athletes is bottomless. In three short years, I have grown and improved in ways I simply could not have imagined, having joined as an already experienced runner.
I look forward to many more years of proudly racing under a DWRunning singlet.
